About Shane

As a partner at Cohen, Cohen & Cohen, I represent plaintiffs against large corporations, insurers, and government agencies. Before joining the firm, I spent years defending Fortune 100 companies at a leading international law firm — giving me a firsthand understanding of how major institutions assess risk, litigate, and approach settlement. I now apply that insider perspective to advocate for clients and maximize their recoveries.

My prior practice covered toxic and environmental torts, product liability, and consumer protection litigation on behalf of clients including Amazon, Tesla, Johnson & Johnson, and Snap — frequently involving more than $100 million in alleged exposure. I secured multiple dispositive victories and helped negotiate numerous seven-figure settlements.

I bring that same rigor to plaintiff-side work, anticipating defense strategies and building targeted, high-impact cases designed to achieve efficient, meaningful results against well-resourced opponents.

I earned my J.D. from UCLA School of Law (3.87 GPA, Masin Family Academic Excellence Gold Award) and my B.A. in English from UC Berkeley. At UCLA, I served as Chief Managing Editor of the Criminal Justice Law Review and VP of Judicial Affairs for the Moot Court Honors Program.

In addition to my practice, I’ve contributed to legal scholarship — including co-authoring forthcoming work on legal risks in lithium extraction — and have received recognition in consecutive years for my pro bono work, completing 50+ hours of service annually.
